You don’t have to be a football fan to feel the excitement building around Everton’s Football Club’s new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock in Liverpool.

Sitting like a jewel in the crown rising above the surrounding docks, the new stadium is a magnificent sight.

Work started in August 2021, and the ground has already held two successful soft opening games with limited crowds to test the facilities.

The finished article is a testament to the countless folk who have worked tirelessly on the new stadium to make it what it is.

Dozens of architects, planners, and club staff have spent years planning every aspect in minute detail.

As well you would if you’re spending circa £800 million on your new home.

But it seems that in all that time, no one talked to the manager (Sean Dyche at the time) and no provision was made for a coaches’ room.

A tiny but important oversight which has now been rectified but might have been averted if someone had had a quick chat with “Gaffer”.

Countless well-planned projects arrive at our door, too.

However, one or two could have undoubtedly benefited from an early bit of advice that could have headed off trouble lurking on the sidelines.
