Bill & Ben the Flowerpot Men …
Walking across our drive the other day, I spotted a weed.
There’s nothing unusual in that but in the Atacama Desert-like conditions we’re experiencing right now, it’s a wonder that anything is growing.
Ok, so our drive isn’t the driest place on earth and unlike the Atacama, we HAVE seen rain in the past 500 years. I think.
But you don’t need to be Sherlock to have spotted that it’s been a tad on the dry side this summer.
Without thinking, I pulled the little brute and up it came, roots an all.
And I couldn’t help but marvel at how this doughty little specimen with roots little more than two inches long had managed to thrive in conditions drier than a donkey’s jockstrap.
Instantly feeling a pang of guilt, it was impossible not to be awed at nature’s ability to adapt to whatever gets thrown at it.
Don’t worry, I’m not trying to come over all Robert the Bruce like watching the spider in his cave but the message to draw from it is just as profound.
The minute the business climate looks like it might take a turn for the worse, we wouldn’t be human if we didn’t feel concerned.
How are we going to thrive against the economic headwinds?
Just like that poor little weed, we’re going to have to adapt.
And that means …
Talking to our customers more. Communicating with them regularly, helping them streamline their sales channels and getting tons more bang for their buck.
We’re going to have to ensure that everything we do is geared to efficiency and making sure our websites and print collateral are as effective as they possibly can be.
It’s what we’re here for.
If you want a sounding board or just want to bend my ear, I’m on hand for a chat about anything to do with Print or Web Design.
Stay safe.
