I’m sure I came in here for something…

I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve rushed from one room to another to fetch something vital … and then completely forgotten what I was looking for.

Some might call it amnesia and others absent-mindedness, but a scientist recently ventured that it was nothing of the sort …

His theory was that as we get older, we’ve got a lot more on our minds which are racing ahead of the tasks at hand.

It’s a brilliant theory, and I’m sticking to it.

Which is more than can be said for poor old Beyan Multu from Turkey…

Whilst roaming around in the woods recently he came across a group of rescue workers involved in a search for a missing person, so he decided to join in.

And it wasn’t until sometime later that Multu realised they were, in fact, looking for HIM!

Cue much embarrassment all round.

In reality, sometimes it’s difficult to remember what day of the week it is, never mind anything else.

Which is why I’m whispering a very gentle reminder that there’s still time to order your Christmas Cards and Calendars this year.
