It’s cool to be square …
Our local Tesco store is advertising watermelons at £3 a pop.
However, shoppers in Vancouver seem to be happy to hand over an eye-watering $200 for the same product.
So, what is going on?
It turns out these cubed brutes are picked well before they’re ripe making them almost inedible so they’re probably being purchased for no other reason other than their novelty value.
But if nothing else, they’re doing a wonderful job of catching people’s attention.
In other words, they’re a marketeer’s dream.
As it becomes increasingly difficult to catch our customers’ attention what’s our takeaway from this story?
Well, square watermelons aren’t the only things that stand out.
Have you ever thought of having square Business Cards?
A square Brochure, even?
A beautifully printed square brochure, sent in a brightly coloured envelope is sure to stand out from the crowd and attract admiring eyes.
But they’re more than that.
They’ll be a talking point and elevate you way above the competition.
