No such thing as a free lunch? Then read on …
If I’d have succumbed to every takeaway promotion during lockdown, I’d have a waistline something close to the circumference of the London Eye.
Thankfully, I didn’t, and I don’t.
But it’s been hard.
Takeaway meals from local pubs and restaurants were one of the great success stories of the pandemic and showed how the more resourceful very quickly thought on their feet and found another route to market.
Some, of course, were more successful than others. And for a variety of reasons.
But a common thread ran through them all.
An easy to use, hassle-free ordering system and … Google reviews.
The ones awash with reviews were the busiest by a country mile.
And it didn’t happen by accident – all they did was ask.
Some asked every time an order went out and others … not at all.
Google reviews are like gold dust.
It doesn’t matter whether you are a restaurant or you’re selling a product or service, your prospective customers will be checking you out.
While good reviews matter, it doesn’t stop there.
When it comes to your Google My Business listing, a hefty bunch of Google reviews will lift you head and shoulders above the competition and ensure that you are visible when people are looking for businesses that do what you do.
Few things in this life are free but Google Reviews are one of them.
You don’t always have to spend big on SEO – with a little careful thought and a tiny bit of effort and zero spend that page 1 local listing could be yours.
If you need help to get your Google My Business listing set up properly, why not give us a call.
If you want a sounding board or just want to bend my ear, I’m on hand for a chat about anything to do with Print or Web Design.
Stay safe.
